Default master bearing kit for gears

im gonna buy a set of 4.10s from american muscle and i was wondering if i should buy the master bearing kit...it says its for cars with higher mileage.. i have about 41k miles. should i get that or the install kit or should i do the gear tuner combo?? i will be getting a s/c so should i just wait on the handheld tuner til then? cuz if i get the gears and tuner i dont have the option to get the master bearing kit or the install kit.. i know this sounds stupid but i wanna be 100% positive of everything b4 i purchase... also i will not be installing this myself..im taking it to a shop..so i dunno if that rules out the install kit or not. what do you guys think?? thanks in advance

get the basic install kit and just order some bearings for the pinion gear from ford, i did my gears myself no whine or noises over 3k ago, and i just put in new bearings on the pinion gearleft the reeces in place and everything is fine carrier bearing looked great so left them.... to get those reeces out is a pain, and if you dont set them perfect you will end up causing more harm than good, but thats just my opionon.... bearings i think should be good for well over 100k

If your going to do gears get the bearing kit without question...cheap insurance...mine only has 48k and when I took it off one of my races was pitted on the carrier you never know how its going to be and you don't want to be stuckin the middle without something you need......your better off just my .02 Dan

I didnt replace any of my bearings.. i was at about 40,000. Who's to say the aftermarket bearings you put in are as good as the ones already in it.

Either way.. if a good bearing is used, replacing them can't hurt

my car does need to be tuned cuz i got 18" wheels and new tires (40's not 35's) and mac o/r prochamber and slp lm1..so i know my car need to be tuned and i might as well just have the shop do all the tuning at once? cuz after the gears are put in im not gonna buy many mods unti i get either my suspension (will that require a tune??) or saving up for the blower.
