Can someone tell me what "WOF" is please, it would help me understand this thread alot more.

A "WOF" is like an "ARF", but for bigger dogs.

this mod is nothing but moving the position of your pedal. it doesn't give you more power or any BS like that. it basically puts a spacer on the cable which is connected to the gas pedal. simply put, if you feel like you would like to have your gas pedal an inch above the stock position, that's what this does. I had no probs hitting Wide Open Throttle before, but I did the mod for comfort.
+1 like i stated earlier.

best thing to do to make sure you don't over do it and break the cable is to take the throttle and put something on it to hold it wide open and then get underneath the dash and use plastic tubing and cut it to length so that it takes up all the slack so there is no tension on the cable when the pedal is on the floor but still no slack then wrap the tubing around it and hold it on with a screw clamp

I did this mod also. It is really only good for burnouts. It makes it easier to work the brake and the gas at the same time.

Like others said earlier, this is just a convinience mod. It takes the slack out of the pedal and allows it to sit almost even with the brake pedal. Stock it sits sabout 1 to 1 1/2inches lower than the brake. It DOES NOT affect the car reaching full throttle. I checked this numerous times with mine before and after i did it, you still reach WOT with the stock pedal location.

#1 throttle response and comfort, you have better leverage on the pedal so its easier to push in half way, takes half the time, so therefore, you dont make a drop more power, just access it a split second sooner.

would a throttle body spacer also take some slack out of the cable?

I did this mod and Iliked the way the pedal felt afterwards.I didn't achieve any horsepower gains out of it nor did it do anything for my 1/4 mile times. What it did do is to bring myloud pedal up relative to the clutch and whoa pedal. It just became more comfortable to drive.
The only thing I can think of that would deem this mod necessary is if your gas pedal hits your after market floor mats beforereaching the WOTstop on the butterfly valve.
