I am not sure how reliable this source is or how many people were involved in the survey but it does offer some guidance:
http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/re...;model=Mustang
Apart from that a good sign of how the car was treated (in my opinion) are:
1. Turn on the radio and see what he/she is listening to and how loud!
2. Is the car modified in any way? Cosmetic - thats ok, just a poser, Engine/HP - oh oh, he was juicing the *** off it
3. See if there is even wear on the tyres - might indicate burn outs/power slides etc
4. Look at the owner - soccer mom(good)/18 year old lunatic(oh god)
5. Put up and down the top a couple of times, make sure is comes up evenly (one of the pisons in mine is shot) and lines up with the top of the wind screen properly. Also look for rust on the top where it meets the wind screen.
Personally I have a 2000 v6 vert and a 2003 v8 coupe and have never had a problem from either, I find them to be really reliable cars. I bought my GT from craigslist.org. Good luck!
