Saleen Series IV supercharger questions
I ran a search on this but nothing.
What kind of boost and RWHP will this put out on a stock GT?
Is it any good? Anyone have experience with one of these?
I know some are going to say "go centri" but I am just wanting to know some background on this particular blower.
Any help is appreciated

RE: Saleen Series IV supercharger questions
I just had a Saleen Series IV installed on my 04' GT. Installation was very simple.I also installeda Chicane 66mm pulley to improve the boost. With a Predator Diablo tune,it easily hit 420 RWHPwithout the nitrous.I have heard that the KB is the best on the market. But it's alot more money. For basically the same system. I could have bought any blower, but wanted one that looked like a factory system.Without moving the battery. The trunk is small enough as is.

Did you drive it before changing the pulley? What kind of boost does the stock pulley make?
How many hours for the install?
Clears the stock hood well?

RE: Saleen Series IV supercharger questions
I never tested the stock pulley.Although Saleen rates it at around 6-7psi.The smaller one is 9psi.It clears the stock hood no problem. It took about 9 hours to install it.

Why what ?
Why what ?
Anyway, does the Saleen make a noticable whine like the KB?
What kind of plugs did you use? Did you upgrade your fuel pump?

RE: Saleen Series IV supercharger questions
The only difference between the Saleen blower and a KB is the KB is rated higher horsepower wise. If your not looking to get over 450-500 horse, then the Saleen would be the better choice considering it is cheaper. Just remember, a twin screw makes its boost VERY quickly, so there really is no "driving out of boost" as in centri's, so you will need suspension mods to make it driveable, and if you have 4.10's you will probably have to go to a higher gearing so you can hold traction and not roast tires all the time. Centri's are all well and good, but some people perfer one over the other, it is all about personal preference.
