when i put my k&n filter on i noticed a screen behind the filter...like at the beginning of the arm what is the name for that screen? and will there be any benifit to removing it? like a sound or something? cuz i thought the air scilencer was the big plastic peice on the bottom that connects to the other plastic peice that goes around the filter[8D]

maf screen, it won't do much difference really just affect airflow not sound or anything its to keep stuff out obv....

haha yeah its to keep stuff out but would removing it make it make sounds?
i mean the filter should keep stuff out the filter has smaller openings than that does
