Default What to do about transmission

So general concensus is that I broke the 4th gear synchro (T-45), and with only 17K on the car. Its still 100% driveable as long as I hold it in 4th while depressing the clutch. Repair bill is an estimated 1000+. Should I deal with it ($0), fix it ($1000), replace with T-45($1500+labor), or T-56 ($2300+labor)

I go with fix it. Doing it yourself isn't really that hard. If you have to pay to fix it, then just buy a new one. Maybe a 3650.
