Default lowering springs and launching

does having your car lowered really affect how you can launch it, ive kinda heard it does but never have really been explained as to why sperings would affect it. could someone please help?

When you put lowering springs on the rear it makes the suspension MUCH stiffer. Thus not allowing weight transfer so you have a tendency to spin a lot easier because there is not as much weight on the wheels.

shorter springs usually have to be stiffer to keep the suspension from bottoming out, not to mention most folks want handling not weight transfer. A good mix between the two is 4cy fox springs on the front and cut v8 springs on the rear. thats what I've got.

IF YOUR CAR IS LIKE MINE ('02 GT) YOU SHOULD DEFINANTLY LOWER IT. THEY SIT LIKE THE NEW F150, ALL JACKED UP.

yea they do. my brothre has a 98 camaro, my cousin has a ws6 and i have an 84 camaro and this thing bottoms out on nothing which is good. but if i can get better performance with dropping it a bit. then it must be done

I rarely bottom out and when I do its because someone is in the back seat.
