2003- Exhaust Question
First time post... I've got an 03 GT, bone stock. I want to upgrade my mufflers and add an air intake. For the mufflers, I'm looking for the loudest sound possible. Some friends are recomending a set of 2 chamber Flowmasters, part: 953048. Is this a good sound? How much of an improvement over the stock sound will it be? I've listened to a few audio clips from www.mustangexhaust.com, but its so hard to tell.

for a catback look into either a borla or mahnaflow(magnapacks). The 03 gt comes stock with flowmaster mufflers so that would be wasting ur money. Gotta buy a catback. then look into a catted BBK x pipe or bassani. O/r x's sound raspy liek H pipes.....for air intake...ur best of just buying a Kand N filter and removed your fenderwell duct. then do BBK 75mm t/b and a accufab or C&L inlet plenum

Loudest possible you say? Loudmouth 1s for sure. Set that up with an o/r X pipe and the guys in china will hear ya.

LM1 for the catback for sure. For the intake, just get a K&N filter and remove the silencer. If you have the extra money for an intake, then get a JLT RAI or CAI. No other intakes are worth it, so do JLT or just a filter.

no new edge came stock with flows...i know mine didnt. i have flows and they sound good with an o/r H but if you want loud and yet stillhave that same flowmaster sound go with single chambers. they sound pretty good on the stang. im gettin mine done this week

Ya, I have an 03, It has Flowmasters????? Were did you here that???? How do I tell is there a stamp or something on it. I mean the stock exhaust sounds good, but someday I might want to put an aftermarket exhaust on it.
