go to checkers or any CSK autoparts store or autozone they should have the books one is called the HAYNES repairmanual and it covers all 1994-2003 mustang 3.8 5.0 4.6SOHC and 4.6DOHC and theres another one by CHILTON and it covers only 4.6 Mustangs 1996-1998 cobra and GT

Helms makes the factory service manuals for most companies. Its always better to have the fsm in my opinion because it gives you the most information on your particular model. They are not cheap, but they are worth the dough.

96 shop manual... I had one for my 89 mustang its alot better than your typical haynes manual... Haynes is sometimes wrong anyways.
