I found one of these tuner's for $300. you think it is worth buying or should i find a diff. one. I have a automatic so i want one that will help with shift firmness, i dont believe tihs one does that. what do you guys think

Most all of the tuners do the same thing. You should ask around and see what local tuners use just in case you ever want to have it dyno tuned. You can find a used SCT or diablo tuner for ~250 if you wanted to go that way.

yeah i would like to get a used one and save some money but im not sure.

If your buying a used one make sure to ask if the tuner has been seperated from the original owners car. If the owner doesnt do this you wont be able to use it at all.

i ordered mine used from www.stangrecycler.com it is brenspeed's ebay store for used/take off parts, i got mine for $225, but then you have to buy tunes after that. still came out cheaper than ordering tuner and tunes brand new

i dont get it. i thought they came ready to be plugged in, right? Or was it because it was used?

Most tuners use the SCT software or the Diablosport software. You'd be better off finding an X calibrator 2 or a Predator.

i bought it used so thats why i had to purchase the tunes. it still came from brenspeed though. i could have gotten one for cheaper, but this way i knew i was ordering from a respected shop, and could trust that it was unlocked and ready for my car
