RE: who would win
The KA22 only has 220hp, the engine is already pushing close to its max for what it is, the mods he put on probably only added 15-20hp making him at best a 240hp car.
The Cobra is 305hp/300ftlbs which is way better than that KA. With the Catless H-Pipe you are probably around 325-330hp?? but I doubt the torque increased much.
I wouldnt worry at all about him, I had a co-worker obsessed about that engine and he was expecting only about 400-450hp after about 20k dumped into, he wanted some fancy 60mm Independant stand alone throttle body setup with a split header twin turbo... Blech, I thought it was too much money being wasted. 20k wasnt just in the engine alone, it was also to be put into his Civic hatch.
Just race him and the track, he will be too embarased to say anything more.

Hold on now... this is a car that comes with 200hp stock, being he is MUCH lighter than any one of the boats we drive, you sure this non modded Cobra is gonna get him?? The 96 Cobra came with 305hp stock though yes? The pipe isnt gonna make a HUGE difference for the Cobra, how bout the mods on the RSX? What does he claim fo HP?

one my best friends has an RSX Type-S, dont underestimate them. They are pretty damn fast and because of their high gear 4cyls they can pull in almost any gear. However, you should take him fine as long as you keep your traction on take-off.

RE: who would win
Race him from a dead stop and show him whats up..The only way he will hang with you might be from a 60+mph role..Even then you should still walk him..Racing from a role is gay, dead stops show moredriver skill and actual ability of a car launching and using its torque to propel itself..Trust me I've owned a "respectable" civic, and I would get others with faster hondas and importsjust because of their ignorance of going from a dead stop...

Their not as light as the old Civics. I would imagine they are probably 500-600 pounds lighter than a Cobra at most. You can't forget the 150+ TQ advantage the Cobra has. Equal drivers the Cobra has this

jI raced a rsx type s in my 2000 GT before and after my magnaflow. I took him from a stop andfrom a roll. I even lost traction and he was a car a head and I still beat him. He claims that he beat other GTs with no problem but I find that hard to believe after I waxed that honda. I am not that good of a driver.
