Have you ever heard of anyone having a MAF senor going out while making a dry hit. The chance is there but it is very slim. For every MAF senor failure I could give you about a 100 noid failures. Thus making a dry hit safer. Even thought a wet system might be easier to set up a dry is still safe. just my .02

Sure fuel solenoids can fail, but so can;t nitrous solenoids. Matter of fact, someone posted about that just yesterday. His nitrous solenoid stuck and it emptied his entire bottle.
Nitrous is dangerous no matter what, but I'd much rather risk losing an intake or air filter than lose the entire engine due to detonation. And with a plate kit or direct port, you don't even have to worry about pooling in the upper.
