how tough is the limited slip in 99 gts. i changed out the pinion seal added gear oil and the additive. ok at first whining a lil now guys said thet it might go away when the additive works in . does the 373 gears i got have anything to do with it.

i dontthink yourgears has anything to do with it but i will say that the stock diff sucks. Who put your gears in? did they check to see if they needed to add any shims?

the guy befor me did it . had it a year no prob then it started to whine and pop a lil

You need to pull the cover and take a look. Look for bad clutches, broken spider gear teeth, and instect the RnP to start.

whats up im a ford tech and from my experiance a whine is usually from incorect shimming of the carrier or the pinion, u have to check back lash and clearances, if ur having problems with the LSD it will usually chatter when ur making slow turns
