Default are these 4.10's

i turned the wheel one time and the driveshaft didnt turn quite 3 times would that be the stock gear of 2.73's also i was told the previous owner put the gears in but they dont seem like it but it did have a 4.10 speedo gear in it im showing that i am going slower than what i am really going does all of this sound right

Be sure that BOTH rear wheels make a full rotation & count the driveshaft rotations,, it's simple math.

I don't think Ford uses 2.73 gears on Stangs (?) What exact car do you have?

They used 2.73s in early SN95 Stangs.

I had 2.73 stock gears in my 98 gt. It ran a 10.0 in the 1/8th haha.If you can run 80 in 2nd gear then you probably have 2.73s. You can also remove the diff cover and if it has ford gears the ratio will be clearly stamped on the pinion.
