Default gap between front fenders and side skirts

Hi all,

I am relatively new to mustang. I recently purchaseda 2000 GT. I just now noticed there is about an inche gap between the front fenders and the side skirts. Is that how it supposed to be? I just checked out the recall section. Since I purchased it used. Can I still bring it to the dealer for them to fix the hand brake and the seat belt problems? Will I be charged?
I paid $11G for a 2000 GT with 39k miles, leather, 5sp, air intake, and full exhaust. Is that a good deal or did I over pay?

Thanks,

I would never have paid over $10000 for a mustang thats 7 years old... but at least you got one with decently low miles! Not to bad of deal.

It does not matter if you bought the car used as far as recalls are concerned. If there is a full recall (not TSB) they will fix it no problem.

The gap you are talking about is normal. My '04 GThas it too.

A TSB is a Technical Service Bulletin. It is not an official Recall.
It is a service advisory for the Ford techs that indicate that there may be an issue with a certain part(s). Ususally it is to their discretion whether they will fix a car showing some signs referenced in a TSB. Confused? You should be.

Look up top under Mustang Classifieds there is the spot for TSB's.
If your car is replicating some items as mentioned in a TSB then take it to the dealer with the printout and maybe they will fix it for free or maybe they won't (like in my case).

If I understand it correct it has to do with how your caster and camber are set I know for those that have aftermarket you can get the wheel pretty close to the skirts....
