Default IS THIS TOO BIG OF A CAM?

242/246 comp camswith forged short block.what kinda power should it make or is this a good set up?I am also getting long tubes.

What are your other mods. Those cams are way to aggresive for a stock engine and your pistons will have to be flycut for them to work. Get the xe270's they are 234/238 and more streetable.

Man you edited it while i was posting .They are still to big. Also look into crower or vt engines.

is that a stage 3 cam? i am also getting new pistions and rods so would it still be streetable or just to aggresive cause the shop is putting them in and already has them should i send them back

Why would you buy cams without understanding how they were going to work with your build? What RPM range do you want your power? I'll bet they are gonna sound great

They'll be alright on the street as long as there are no ptv issues and they are tuned correctly. Your gonna have a rough idle with them.Also they make power higher in the rpm but you'll lose alot of torque down low. Stage 2 would have been a better choice for stock heads/intake.

the guy at the shop bought them he looked in to it but it still worried me and what about intake? the intake manifold? oh yea patriot stage 2 heads, forged internals, and long tubes

Thats a massive cam. Its going to loose alot of TQ down low and not be very streetable.

At this point, with all the work you have done, why would you go with a generic cam? Get a custom grind for nearly the same price and make lots more power with less loss down low.
