What should I pick...
 

Between these 2 different wheel setups:
1) AZA Black/chrome wheels (18x8.5 and 18x9.5) with BFG KDW IIs

2) 10.5 Mach 1 rims in the rear with Drag Radials (Nitto 555 probably)
3) 10.5 Mach 1 rims in the rear with BFG KDW IIs

I want traction and somewhat of a good tread life...I know, I know I can't have both
But I've been reading a lot about the Nitto drag radial, has good grip (better than any street tire) and great tread life..any1 recommend these for a daily driver that will see maybe 1 or 2 track days a year?

For better traction, the wider wheel will be better, but those wheels in the first link are sexy!

well yeah, either way my wheels will be wider than the stock 8 inches...
just don't know which option to go with [>:]

um....does it matter which is cheaper?...you have a Z06 in the garage....lol :D

i'd just do the matching 10.5 Mach rims with your stock center caps...and the BFGs to match your front tires...no need to drive around all year in CT with drag radials if you only hit the track once ot twice a year...OR...get two sets of 10.5s....one with the street tires...and one with the DRs....i would do that since i'm guessing you got the dough lol

haha yeah that's my dads z06, but I pay for all my mods...I work at an auto body shop
The thing is, I want to have good traction all the time, so 2 different sets isn't really looking good to me
I want 1 set with good traction--BFGs have longer life, but Nittos have better traction...not sure what to do!!!

Those black wheels would look sick on your car!!!

I had mach 1 wheels and I went all out and got new wheels, trust me, get the whole new package!!!
You wont be dissapointed.

no you have it backwards, nitto's have longer life and BFG's have better traction.

i voted for the mach 1 wheels 10.5 with drag radials.

Black chrome fr500s???? No the first wheel option would look good too, but Black Chrome FR500s would look amazing.....

A wider wheel doesnt always mean better traction... Atleast for straight line acceleration... with a wider tire you have a larger contact patch and that means less weight per. sq. inch. A smaller tire with have more weight per. sq. inch... Its a balance to figure out which tire is just enough to provide the traction without over doing it... 315's are probably over kill but i sure do love the look and thats what i got... But as for lateral adhearsion to the road wider is better...

I vote for the AZA wheels, sure would be unique. The look like the SSR GT3 wheels. I would rock those on my car... To bad they dont make them in 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 that would be perfect.. i wouldnt be able to pass that up for the price...

Also whats everyone love about the BFG KDW2's?? I read reviews about them and there ok. Most people complain about how loud the tire is. Are you guys just attracted to the tread design, the look? They are unique.....
