Race from a dig not a roll, you will lose especially at speeds above 80. I had a 2000 5 Speed Maxima and with only 222 HP at crank and let me tell you Nissians fly on the highway. I my 2000 Maxima would beat my stang on the highway any day of the week... Goodluck and have fun!

ORIGINAL: CobraStangGT16

Yeah, and a triptonic means he has alightning quickmanual without a clutch. Kinda like a paddle shifter... but 340 to wheels! That doesnt sound right? It's making 340 to the flywheel, so the golden rule is take 15% off, so that means he's making roughly 290 to the wheels.

But he is much heavier. Our cars are 3385lbs curb weight, so with me in it, thats like 3600lbs almost. I'm feeling a little more confident now. I gotta work on my launches!!! [:@]

Haha yeah, I don't think he'll even race me, so I don't really have to worry about messing up the car before selling it. I just wanted to know if I could take him or not...

...but wait until I sell my GT and then I'm riding in a 99 Cobra!!! Then he's toast. I think I'll re-badge it as a GT, lol. Nobody who doesnt know about Mustangs will know the difference, even with the tail lights. That'd be sweeeeet.
Just because its rated by the manufacturer at 340 doesn't mean it actually is...the 03/04 Cobra is rated at what 390? but is more like 425 because its underrated...Japanese co's have been known to severely underrate their top of the line sports cars and cruisers.
I have driven that car and it hauls ***...i don't know if it will take you but it is definately no slouch.

hes def. making 340 at the fly and i wouldnt worry about the triptonic shifter cause its actually slower than a regular auto. It doesnt shift like a paddle shift its much slower trust me on this one ive driven plenty of them. Just concentrate on ur launch and shifting...oh and i wouldnt even worry about ur back seat and tire. [8D]

encourage him to shift in triptronic mode, because he does not know his cars exact shift points, it would be better for him if he left it in D ....... if you have a hard time launching just take his *** from a roll....good luck!

believe me. people that have triptronic have no clue how to drive it.
i have tons of friends who have trip, and they suck at it.
eh dont let off the pedal when they floor it to shift, and it redlines the **** out of it.
you got his easily. that kids a moron.

haha that douche reminds me of this guy with a 2000 eclipse GT with the same shifter and i beat him with my Mazda Millenia S by over a car length while he was trying to shift that thing. The millenia, for those who dont know, is a pretty big sedan.

ew don't put GT badges on a Cobra...if anything just throw a set of tri-bar emblems and a V8 emblem on the rear where the SVT emblem would be...or leave the SVT...i've never really liked the snake emblems anyway [8D]
