polished v. chrome
I know people have asked about this before, but I can't really find what I'm looking for.
Can anyone post pics of a polished wheel next to a chrome wheel?? VISUALLY do they look the same, or is it about quality?? Because polished are cheaper than chrome. Whats the difference?

I dunno. I have polished aluminum wheels and they look like chrome only if they are spotless and polished. I would imagine that aluminum wheels are lighter than chrome wheels, if thats any concern to you.

When I had polished wheels everyone thought they were chrome. Theyre just a major PITA to keep clean. If you dont stay on top of the cleaning with them they get permanent water spots. I've never had chrome rims though so i cant really compare the maintainence just tell you what I experienced.

It is two different looks. A Chromewheel is mirror like. A polished shine is not as brilliant. I have polished wheels.I personally think they look better. The problem is they require constant cleaning. Otherwise they will tarnish.
I used a product call Zoops Seal on them. It is expensive but works. It will seal in the shine for years. I've had my wheels zooped 2 years ago. All I have to do is spray them with water and paper towel them dry.

Hmmm Zoops. Maybe I can save that 100 bucks and get some polished and Zoop em. I dont think I would even notice a difference between chrome and polished. That would suck to have permanent water spots. So chrome, you dont have to clean as often, they dont stain or what?

Chrome corrodes if not taken care of. Then it will rust under the cracks and look horrible.
There is a difference between chome and polished. To me chrome is toyish.
