my buddy has a 99 5 speed with 4.10s and gets 21 mpg on the highway, weld in mufflers, and intake are the only other mods, and yes, 3.73s are equal to 4.10s in a t45, which is why i recomend 4.10s for all unless the t3650, then i say 4.30s unless you dirve over 80mph daily, which you shouldnt be unless your in germany[8D]

They aren't "equal", only in the final gear. The 4:10s will pull harder in first through fourth no matter what transmission, however with the 3650, in fifth gear, you'll be about equal with 4.10s as you would be with 3.73s in a T45. It's only the difference in that fifth gear is what they are trying to say. So yeah, you'd still launch faster in a 3650 with 4.10s than you would in a T45 with 3.73s.

So what would be the 5th gear ratio equiv if you put 4.10s on a 3650? 4.30?

Once again,....any links to the final gear ratio difference from the t-45 and the 3650....All I can find is they both have a .675 to 1 final.....????

They are the same final ratio. The only differences are in 1 second and third. Final is the same.

If the final drive ratio is the same,,,rear gear the same(whether a 4.10 or a 3.73),,,,the rpm should be the same..So how canthe rpm be differnt from the t-45 and the 3650? in Fifth?[&:]

I did find this,,which if you go buyGVW....3260 prob the stang,,there could be some tremec 3650's with a final of .680 and some with a final .620....oh boy...

People forget that the T-45 has a different final gear compared to the 3650.

3.73s in a T-45 will almost exactly equal 4.10s in a 3650 in 5th gear.
