Try this:

just go a certain speed(like 60), see what rpm your at, enter it in, with the tire diameter, and it should be pretty close.

RE: what type of gears??
here is the way.... i thought i had gears but you can check this simple way.... lift the car mark the drive shaft and wheels and turn the wheel one time and count how many times the drive shaft turned, you can figure if it turns 3 times and then a quarter of time you can get close enough to figure out your gear ratio (hence 3:27) or if it goes 3 times and little past half you have..............

RE: what type of gears??
it shouldnt be a bitch to take the pumpkin off . . just turn a few boolts. . pop em off and slide the cover off . . the gears are right in yur face .. now i dont remember where it says 3.73 or 2.73 on em . . but look around . .ull see it

RE: what type of gears??
It does say what gear it is on the pinion. But you can raise the car and spin tires one revolution and count how many times the driveshaft turns and that will tell you what gears you have. Example-- 3 1/4 turns=3.27`s, 3 1/2 turns= 3.55`s, 3 3/4 turns= 3.73`s etc, etc.
