Well . . i had a misfire on the #8 cylinder. i took out the plug. . . it was covered in junk. i cleaned it up and wiped up the mess inside the hole. Put everything all back together and started it up. ran fine. no codes thrown. backed up to park and punched it a little bit. the back hopped and then all of a sudden it just stalled. now my car won't even run! It will start up. . .run rough and when i touch the pedal(if it hasn't already stalled) it will rev up then just die. What happened???? AND on top of that. . the HID's i just put in last night wont turn on anymore. . .i haven't driven it in 2 months and now i think it's paying me back. . .what can i do? i need advice asap!

I would pull that spark plug out again was it oil sludge if so the prognosis may not be good

check your EGR piping to the intake the hose might of came off

i know its late. . .and i'm on duty. . .but i'm going to run off the ship right now to see if that is it. . .i surely hope it is!!!! i'll be back in five to let you know

Yeah sometimes that is a problem... whats your oil look like? foamy? try to find out whether the plug is firing or not... check all the plugs.. see how they look.. see if you can hear anything sucking air when its running... could spray carb cleaner here and there and see if it revs up.. if so there is a air leak..

The fact that you say it revs up before it dies makes me think you have a vacume leak somewhere..

well . . . Tommy Callahan said it best. . ."i'm retarded." I've learned to never work on your car in the pitch black and all u have is a little flashliht. i somehow completely overlooked the fact that my intake came apart right after the MAF. It wasnt quite the EGR piping. . . but if you hadn't told me that i never would have checked tonight and i never would have slept. And the oil was just really dirty oil. not foamy. . . and i cleaned it all up and put it all back and she's never run smoother. i think the plug was loose to begin with. Thank you all for your advice. . .i dont know what i'd do without you guys!!!!! haha Thank you again. . .i appreciate it!

That happened to me on the dyno right after I did my s/c install. The pipe between my MAF and my t/b came loose at about 5k rpm and flooded the engine out so bad I was shooting gas out of my tailpipes. Same symptoms tho, car would start but then just die as soon as you let off the gas. The reason (according to thedyno tech)is all the un-metered air is going into the combustion chamber and the computer is forcing more fuel in to the motor as well trying to compansate for all theun-meteredair. It puts so much fuel in that it that it floods the engine. I suggest you change your oil soon because the oil was surely filled with gas. You said it is running good now so I'm sure it burned the gas out of the oil but I would still change it asap.
