Actually, I am 17 and have a 97 GT and the insurance isn't too bad, I also live in Missouri and where you live has to do with the price! Dude... Get a manual, they complete the sensation of having a stang!

if i can sellmy current car for $3500-$4000, save about 2 grand then parent help me out...we see, cobra probably me even more for insurance. BUT HOPEFULLY, i should be getting a job at c.p rail and for 6 month training i get paid $1700 a month and i be living at home until im fully hired on so i may be able to afford the insurance. Now i just got to find a 99 cobra around here for sale, never seen one yet

Stay away from the 4.6L sohc mustangs. The mods are so expensive and get you nowhere! You need mega bucks to gain any real power. Also if you buy one make sure it's got an aluminum crossover on the intake manifold. It is the part where the alternator bolts to! They give a real headache if they are all plastic and crack. Bookoo bucks

There is nothing wrong with 4.6 sohc cars. Stock they are great car to learn on and then when you are ready they are one of the better engines for FI. Manual is the only way to go imo.

look for some 99 cobras
+1. They can be had for a similar price and many GT owners wish they did this.
