Default WEAKNESS OF THE 2V @500HP

I'm wanting to be at 500whp and need to know what internal mods i need on my 2v.
Also can my tranny handle that much power or will i need to upgrade that too??

Thanks

To handle 500rwhp take everything out of the block and install all forged parts. Tranny will be ok for a while but save for a new one.

Theres a guy on here that claims its fine up to 600[&:].

But you will need all new forged parts, ie crank, pistons, rods, etc

500 rwhp is 590 hp at the crank, comming out of a 2V.... errrrrr..... i think it would be cheaper to just buy a new engine and swap it in

I posted this video up about two weeks ago.... Its me and Brian inTexas Hot Rod's pet project..... 500rwhp on a stock 2v GT, with the exception of a Procharger and a few exhuast and cam swaps..... but its still running on stock internals and tranny..... Here's the video.... listen and watch in ahhhh!

Forged internals. Your tranny will last longer a medium clutch. My tranny is still ok but muy clutch is a six puck spec that is too harsh for everyday use. I agree with saving up for a new tranny.

I tried to get 500 hp out of my 2v, with a kenne bell with 16 lbs of boost. As you can tell it didnt hold together. I now have a built forged 5.4 2v with over 500 hp
