What should i offer?

RE: What should i offer?
The auto came with a weaker cast 6blt crank instead of the forged 8blt crank of the manual. The rest of the internals are cast pistons and powdered rods reguardless.
It is way too much for that car unless you are hoping to keep it that low in milage, then agian the manual would maintain a higher collector value.
You can find them on ebay for 12-15k and really nice modded ones for 14-18k depending on mods. I would not suggest getting an auto under any condition, if you want an auto then make it an auto afterbuying it.
These blocks and internals can only handle about 500hp before the start to damage the block itselft and crack it, really the internals arent that big of a deal when it comes to the weak NVH aluminum block. An idea block would be the 96-98 Cobra block or 93-97 MarkVIII block (Which is the same cast and heads as the Cobra.)
Honestly, if you have 20k to spend I would get a terminator, you will have power never ending with that car and on a longblock that has been proven to make andhandle 1200hp without being modified (Source: DiabloSport.) (To make 1200hp of course it has to be modified, I meant it can take the power without even needing to pop a valve cover.)
DiabloSport in association with Kenne Bell tuned a Terminator to around 1200hp without ever having to pop a valve cover, extreemly impressive IMO.
Both are very collectable cars and have their own great personal features but for 20k the Terminator is a better deal.

RE: What should i offer?
There is a guy over on svtperformance that sounds like he is gonna get a great deal. An 03 sonic blue cobra coupe with about 9.3k miles for $23,500. Deffinetly look at the cobra's for that type of price range... you wont be sorry you did.

RE: What should i offer?
So your saying it's not worth it because it's an automatic? I haven't seen any for much less then $20,000. I liked it because it was like new, didn't want one with over 10,000 miles on it. So for what it is and the milage is $20,000 far?

RE: What should i offer?
All the cobras if seen are alot more then that, i'm not looking for that much power, don't want it for raceing it's going to be a garage queen most of the time. Just want a car i enjoy have a 95 mustang that i loved till it got hit in the side by a kid in a walmart parking lot, had it since it was born and it was perfect till then. Just want another car that need s love and attention. (lol)
