im wanting 6's in the eigth... and my goal for the 1/4 is in the 10's... i hope my driving with that kinda power can get me there... since ive never handled a car on slicks and with that kinda power.. it will take some practice probably...

i don't remember if you do or not...but won't you be needed some kind of roll cage with that power output/ETs you will be making??
yes, to run at the track.... i will need a 4 point cage... i will be installing a 6 point cage once i get the car running again.. convertibles have to have one if you run like below a 12.00 in the 1/4 i think?
that is what i though too...or something like that...either way i was wondering since you didn't list it...sounds good man...you will probably beat him...i wouldn't take a vert up to 210 MPH though haha...i wonder what your top speed would be though

In a drag race you will have him all day long. Top end runs would go in favor of the Vanquish due to the fact that it is made for high speed and has the aerodynamics to support it. The Mustang, as you well know, aren't the most aerodynamic vehicles in the world. You definately will have the power to go top end with it but I think you'll be limited in the aero department. Is your suspension going to be set up for dragracing or road racing? I'd say with a good road race suspension it would be a drivers race on a road course. Another thing to consider in top end runs are tranny's and gears set up for it.

Those goals are more than forseeable. Provided you'll have (or already do) the suspension set right and a beefy rear-end with dr's or slix. Thats like me with 370hp/380tq, with proper traction (susp., rear, and slix) I could see mid 7's 1/8th and high 11's 1/4. These goals were set by a tuner friend of mine and several mod motor racers.

it says at 7000 rpms i am doing 210 mph and at 7500 rpms i am doing 225mph.. my rev limiter will be around 7500rpms... i have a tko 500 and also 3.73 gears...

my suspension will be more of a road race setup... with springs for drag racing to change out for the track... im still deciding though.. i dont want to lose handling

That would be an nice race to see. I hope you win, with traction I think you would. Are you guys racing on the street, and how well you would hook on D/R with 700hp? I do belive the vanquish has all wheel drive.

There are cars running 8's-9's on DR's. One of our locals has a 2000 GT with a TT 347 stroker that put down over 1000 rwhp running 8.60's on DR's I believe.
