Thats a good place to start. If it were me swap your faulty cylinder with a known good one and see if your fault travels. If it does not check your plugs.

well the big problem is that i cant figure out which cylinder its at because the cel hasnt come on, and 3 people have told me that it does feel like a missfire because the whole car vibrates like crazy
and as far as the plugs go, i changed only the plugs about 2 months ago so im pretty sure its not that but who knows

Coil pack, this must mean that you have a 96-98 with the dual coil packs! First off you need to remove the condenser on the side of the coil pack. It's that silver tube looking thing that's held on by one bolt. They will fail causing missfire fairly often. 2nd your coil packs are prone to cracking on the underside which you cannot see unless they are removed! remove the condenser and try that first. Then take your packs off and inspect them. More than likely it's one of those problems if not it's your plug wires!

To add to my last statement. your coil packs fire 2 cylinders at a time, so if you have 2 misfires at a time it's your coil pack that is causing the problem, whether it bbe the condenser or not

i tried i took it to autozone but they cant check it because no codes have been thrown, they just told me to take it a dealership and have them check it out but thats the last thing i want to do, they charge too much.
and also what worries me is if in fact it is a missfire, why hasnt my cel come on?

and 97targa, i'll be inspecting my packs later on
thanks for the help
