quick shorty header question help!!

Default quick shorty header question help!!

ok so i just pulled off the right side exhaust manifold to tap out a bolt i broke putting on my x pipes. well it was a serious pain in the a$$ to get this thing off, and the question i have looming over my head now is this... should i throw on some shorties while im there! how much more work do i have to do if any to put them on im not sure of the clearance issue if there is any.... do i have to drop any front end parts or lift the motor anything special? thanks for the help!

not too sure about the 4Vs but for the 2Vs if you doing headers you should install long tubes

If you have your engine raised or lowered some, you could slide in some shorties if you want. I dont know what your mods are, butI warn you to make sure you have a CAI, TB, and plenum before installing the headers. I installed some shortieson my brothers car a few weeks ago, and the low-end power of the car went away. It was very slow up until 50 mph or so when it finally made normal power.We added a TB and plenum and that seemed tofix it.You WILL NOT feel any difference really though with the shorties. Only get them for the sound, not if you expect performance. Personally, I recommend waiting until you can do long tubes, as they will provide more HP and TQ.
