Cobra is a little faster (305BHP I heard they overrated it though) then your car, but not much at all. I think 94-98 are kind ugly years IMO anyways. Stick with your GT and get some inductions.

Cobra, mod for mod will be significantly fast than a GT, for several reasons.

#1 mine dynod at 260rwhp with just a FIPK, thats the power of a full bolton GT

#2 With full boltons with 4.10/4.30 gears you are lookin at a low 13/high 12 second car

#3 the stock b heads (4v)will flow as good or better then a fully ported and polished 2v head

#4 If you ever go blown down the road, you can forge the bottom end, have a completely stock top and still be able to have 550rwhp with ease (no cams, head ports, intakes, etc), mind you im not completely sure about a GT here.

I agree however that the price for that cobra is way too high, regardless of the miles. If you could snake one for like 10k or below you can get a cheap platform for some serious power, but that being said, if you like your gt, then rock that with pride. Ive owned both cars, 2002 gt vert, and now my cobra and each car had both their pros and cons.

Although 14,000 miles is pretty awesome, 16K dollars is not. Just like others have said.

I'm not going to try to talk you into, or out of keeping your GT, but look at it this way.

By time you sell your GT, and purchase the Cobra, you're probably going to end up losing that 5K that you had saved up, because I highly doubt you're going to get more than 12K out of your GT, then add in taxes and such and you're right around the 15-16K ballpark

Say you do buy the Cobra, *i dont know how you get your money* but in the time that it takes you to save up 5-6 thousand dollars again, where is the mileage on that Cobra gonna be at? Close to the 35,000 mile mark? Which isn't really that far away from where your GT is now. edit: i thought you had 40K, not 60... but still...

Not to mention, I would think that parts, such as a blower and all of its accessories have got to be more exspensive for a SN95 Cobra than they would be for a 'dime a dozen' new edge GT.
