I'm going to the drag strip today, what should I set my tires at? They are bfg drag radials, I don't wanna go to low, 12-15 pounds be enough?

Whoah what is the profile of those?? If you have any kind of lower prfile thats way too much! 18-20 topps with low pro, but if you have meats then you could go as low as 11lbs

I thought with drag radials you shouldn't lower the psi...only lower psi if you have slicks..??

OK nvm, I just checked them on tirerack and it suggested anywhere from 15 to 20 psi for the track, but raise them to normal (around 32) after, obviously

Remeber the more air you let out and the more traction you get..Much more pressure is applied to the drive train like the axles and carrier. They can really only handle 350hp cosistently with slicks! Anymore and you will lose the reliability on those components unless you upgrade. When you spin your tires it takes tremendous pressure of those parts! So, the more you grab the more damage will occur, but if you have a close to stock car run those suckers a 1 or 2psi..LOL
Stick with 18 as I mentioned before and you'll be fine with a close to stcok bolt on car!
