Default Tranny Experts..... What ya think?

Ok so having over 500rwhp and 500rwtq on a stock 3650 tranny seems suicidial..... But oh well..... Might has well use it till it breaks. So what you think? Launches hurt the tranny more then anything else so...... heres my idea..... The 3650 is rated to around 360rwtq. So Immmmma do this..... Go off my dyno results, I'll see at what rpm will my engine produce around 350rwtq, say 3,500 rpm..... Just launch that everytime off the line. Yall think this will increase the longevity of the tranny before I have to upgrade?

im no tranny expert but i can pretty much gurinte you that if you launch it at whateverRPM's is 360hp you will still break the transmission b/c you will
A. break the syncros when you go to shift
B.your still going to hit over 360 hp when you get going

I have over 400rwhp/rwtq on a completely stock 150k mile T-45.. and just put a much stiffer clutch in it..... and the 3650 is supposed to be worlds stronger than the t-45's from what people on this site say... As long as your not launching on slicks or getting super sticky launches on drag radials, then you should be fine untill your synchro's fail. As long as your getting wheelslip on launches I dont think your going to break your input shaft, etc.

the TR-3650 is a little bit stronger but hes putting out 500 lbs of torqu on a transmission thats rated to 360 lbs vs. you putting 400 lbs of torqu out of a transmission thats rated to 325 lbs so its a 75 lb differance vs his a 140 lb differance and plus the syncro wont last long if hes lunching it even though hes spinning the tires b/c if he slips just a little bit he will break the syncro i know this b/c my dad did it 3 times on a car thats only putting out 450 lbs of torqu and he had tires that would spin like nothing

Don't worry about it. There is no way to save the tranny other than to not drive the car. Give it hell and run it until it blows
