Default New RIMS need tire help

well I just bought some new rims and I have no idea what size of tires to put on them, i know nothing about tires, i want the widest that I can fit on the back then like 245's on the front, the back rims are 17x10.5 and the front are 17x9, i think are really gonna look good on my car because i have it all blacked out, my pics arent updated, my headlights and tailights are blacked out as well as my emblems and billit grill.....so any suggestions?

I would do 275/40 and 315/35 and kdw2 or nitto would be good choices, it really comes down to do you want a wet and dry performance or something just for summer etc....

You can put 315/35/17's on your 10.5's with no problem. The options for that size is somewhat limited and are expensive, here's your options:

Sumitomo HTR-Z - $100ea
Goodyear GS-D3 - $280ea
BFG KD - $280ea
Nitto and BFG Drag Radial - $160ea

If you put 315's on the rear, I'd suggest getting 275/40/17 on the front.

Personally,I'm putting on 285/40/17 Kumho ASX's on my 17x10.5's and 255/45/17 on the 17x9's. I wanted a better tire than the Sumitomos but didn't want to spend the $$$ for the Goodyears or BFG's. The smaller size fits the rims perfectly, they don't buldge out as much as the larger 315 or 275, but I think they actually fit better. Just my $0.02.

I like my BFG's, lots of grip and they do well in the rain.

275/40/17 will sit flush on the front and 315/35/17 will sit flush on the rear
