I'm sure you can make it work, but with quite a bit of custom cutting and installation. I think the cats may need to be relocated as well. It would be MUCH easier to just sell your midpipe and get a shorty version.

Yes but the custom work (cutting and bending) will cost more then $150 for an o/r h made for longtubes. You will also get restrictive bends that you dont want. Just sell your x and buy the right part.
