I recently bought a 97 gt and on the original sticker it says optional ratio axle. I know the owned said something about it but he didn't know what the ratio was. I;m just wondering if anyone knows what the optional ratio was for the 97 gt. I'm thinking its 323's...but i'm not sure.

3.27 is the stock if its not that maybe 3.55 but I doubt it

climb under your car, there should be a tag on your differential if the gears havent been changed since the factory i believe. i think the gearing is lower than that. the 03 gts are 3.27

i think standard ratio was 2.73 and optional was 3.08. not totally sure though.

optional 3.27's as well... I know my 96 came stock with them...

Yeah, they are either 2.73 or 3.27 I believe. I need to check what mine has as well so I can tell how far I want to go with gears. With a T-45 I think I might stick with 3.73s, especially if I only have 2.73 right now which I find more than likely since my car is pretty much bare bones (no power anything).

So its either 327's or 3.08's?

I am pretty sure mine had 3.27s stock but my buddy's 5.0 had 3.08s.

My 96 had 3.08's, but it was an auto and I don't know if that figured into the equation or not.
