Good question, I started off running castrol 5w 20 syntec for about 2 years, but for the past year I switched to the the full synthetic. I'd like to know if there is a big differce as well, but I don't believe it is.

i switched from conventional 5w30 to mobile 1 full synthetic 5w30 and the car picked up a couple mpg's. plus seems to run a little smoother.

I know my car recommends 5w20, but if you med to high miles, i say above 50-60k go to a 5w30.

It's 5w-20, but that's more or less for fuel economy! 5w-30 is fine. I use 10w30 in my car only because it's driven on nice days and oil thins out more on nice days!
