Default boost change 3.25 to 2.75

ok I have posted about this b4 and now i am again. I just finally got somebody at Paxton that knew what they were talkin about and it turns out my pulley is 3.25" , my 6.39 psi came at 5500 rpms and i know it will go higher once i change my MAF due to it pegging. But the guy told me to change my boost pulley they only have 2 options 3' and 2.75' he said the 2.75 should give me the 10psi that i want but that seems like an awfully big change for a 3.5 psi jump. what do you guys think? plz help out

O and like i said i hit 6.39 lbs of boost at 5500 but once we get the MAF changed and put my timing and all back up then i can go to 5800 rpms or 6000 and my boost will increase then. but i want 10 lbs and i dunno if 2.75 is gonna give me more or not

I know nothing about the Paxton supercharger, but I'm gonna take a shot at this anyway.I'd say go with the 2.75. I think, or would hope that would get you 10PSI from a new MAF and pulley swap. It might even get you a little more. 3.25 to 2.75 is a big jump. You dynoed at 340RWHP, and you're pegging your MAF. So there isA LOTmore power left.The2.75 pulley and MAFwill get you lots more of it.And if the guy from Paxton suggested it, that's all the more reason.

You will def. get much more performance witth a 1/2" smaller pulley! That pulley will spin almost 1.5 turns compared to 1 turn of that 3.25 if you'd figure 6 x1.5=9

Again, I knownothing about the Paxton charger. But, you said you want more PSI. First, you need a new MAF. Second, get the pulley. Those two will definitely up the PSI and give you a lot more power.

You don't have to get a new MAF. You can get the Diablo Mafia interface that allows you to adjust your peak voltage on your current maf! They run about $149 at American Muscle

I don't get why you need such a small pulley to make that much boost. A vortech will make 8lbs of boost with a 3.6 pulley. Why the hell are you only making 6lbs with a 3.25? Is a paxton really that crappy?

+1 I'm making a solid 8 psi also with my vortech...

I honestly couldnt tell you why but yea. what i was sayin is do u think the 2.75 is gonna be more than ten cuz i dont really want more than that. i know i have alot of power left and its killin me that its just sittin there. o and i was opting to go with the 90mm MAF just cuz so many ppl have said they are awesome.

Its not crappy it runs great, but it may very well have to do with only hittin 5500 rpms so at 6000 it may have hit 7.5 or so but yea the kit says 6-8 psi so its normal
