Default RE: HELP! Thinking about buying a 02' zo6.

2000 - most people are running 500rwhp with: Stage 3/4 ported blower TB/Plenum (600 to get your blower ported - bought my steig stage 3 for 650, and will sell my stock one for 400 - net loss of 250) , Intake (got mine used for 60 bucks), Midpipe (90 bucks used), catback, 2.93 upper pulley (80 bucks), and a 4# lower(around 250), HE (300), head cooling mod (120), MAF (150 used), 40 amp BAP (200 used), with a tune (depends on your tune - I am paying 450 bucks for SCT, and road tune by HP by Hermann).

If you go by that... (my only difference is that i have a 2.81 w/o lower pulley.) but most 03/04 Cobras with those mods run 500-520rwhp and reliably with a good tune.

35k for that z06 imo.. is way to much. There are z06's that are going for under 30, that i've just seen locally.

ORIGINAL: 2000GT4.6

ORIGINAL: RAZER

I don't want a Cobra. I use too but I would still have to do a ton of stuff to it just for me to love it. Yes I could put on a KB or TT it but I'm not looking for real huge hp #'s I just want something that is all around bad ***. I'm 23 and I want to have something that can run with most of the cars here in Vegas. But not crazy power like 600-800hp. And there are a few in town that have that kind of power. If I can get to 500 to the wheels that would be great.
Why do you think you need to do a ton of mods to make good power on a 03/04?

LTs, midpipe, catback, intake setup, pulley, tune, and a steig ported blower (cheap) will net somewhere around 500-520 WHP. Say bye bye 02 Z06 (by a TON).

Your talking under 3K in mods (probably alot under that) for 500+ WHP and low 11s if you can drive. (maybe lower)

I will be getting some more tape of the local 03 that is setup this way, at the track this weekend. He will be finally opening the bottle at the track, so I expect to see some great times. Maybe that will change your mind

Not only all this, but the cobras go for around 23-24K now, so they are fairly cheap.
