cobra engine Swap??

RE: cobra engine Swap??
I am actually in the process of putting a Terminator shortblock into my GT. The shortblock is the block, rods, crank, and pistons. No heads, blower, etc. If you were doing that, you would need the whole longblock, a better tranny, and the Cobra computer(you may be able to use the 98 computer, idk for sure).
I would follow what everyone else is saying. Use your Teskid block. Forge that. It is an incredible block. I was looking for either a Teskid block or the Terminator engine and I found the shortblock first.
As far as the terminator, so far, there are a few changes. I am not exactly sure what would apply to you but here you go. It is an 8 bolt flywheel. So far, there are not HUGE differences in the 4.6 blocks. The motor mounts will be the same. The 98 cobras used a T45 which will need beefed up or swapped too.
