the REAL steeda U/D pulley instructions...
God DAMN the steeda instructions sucked. So here's a working procedure for autos...
1. Loosen alt. pulley w/ impact wrench (size of socket coming soon)
2. 1 person under car, 1 above... Use 1 wrench on 1of4 bolts to hold the pulley in place while the other person loosens the other bolts. For the 4th bolt, jam a screwdriver underneath the pulley to keep it from moving.
3. Use a 1/2" ratchet (no socket) and place in tensioner....Set ratchet to tighten and push to drivers side. Remove belt.
4. Slide alt. pulley off and water pump pulley (use a screw driver to pry off if necessary).
THE TRICKY PART
Since in autos the whole tanny assembly spins, the crank bolt will just turn. For myself, my impact gun didn't fit and an impact ratchet didn't produce enough torque. Here's what I did.
5. Jack car up. Locate the tq. converter plug at the front of your transmission
6. Using a 3/4" socket rotate crank (using the crank bolt) until a bolt head can be seen/felt in the plug hole you just removed.
7. Using a 1/4" drive and a (actual socket size coming soon) put the socket on there and rotate crank with the other hand until the 1/4" drive and socket hits the side of the tranny.
8. With the ratchet holding the tq. converter in place, use a 1/2" drive and a 3/4" socket (or 19mm) and a large breaker bar and press until the bolt breaks loose.
9. Remove breaker bar and continue until bolt is fully removed.
Then reverse the process!
P.S. The steeda instructions say to use a 14mm WRENCH to keep the tq converter form moving...WRONG!!!! Also, it says you need an impact gun...WRONG!
As you can see I did it with my hands.... After attempting to remove my fan and a whole bunch of other useless crap, I figured this out. Don't be afraid to open the plug, no liquid will come out...then just stick your hands in there and turn until you feel that bolt head.
If you have any other questions, ask, I'm in the middle of the install....
I really hope this helps y'all.... This has been the most involved install I've ever done (as far as mods go)

RE: the REAL steeda U/D pulley instructions...
lol... I cut those instructions in HALF.
How about this... lol
1. remove serp belt
2. removed elec. fans
3. used impact gun took off alternator pulley
4.removed water pump pulley
5.removed crank shaft bolt w/ impact gun
6. replaced in reverse with new parts and make sure to use rvt.
There you have it.

Actually, I found the Tri-Ax instructions included in the box quite adequate. The only thing I would as is to slip a shop towel or somthing similar into your air vents and let it drape down over your radio so that you dont beat the hell out of it with the rachet.
