RE: clutch
1996 boss mustang? like a for real boss, did they really make a boss, or did you turn it into a "boss" hehe, post some pics, id like to see it, as for the clutch i don't know, lots of ppl have king cobras but i think they are only rated up to like 400 hp, heard a little bit about the spec clutches being ok , you'd prolly wanna look at the stage 2 or 3 though...

RE: clutch
SPEC all the way! I shattered the centerforce I had in my car into pieces. Put a SPEC stage 2 and haven't had any problems yet. Many people that I know that have problems with clutches have put SPEC clutches in and never had any more problems.

Well I would definatly go with a SPEC stage 3 clutch. Im sure Centerforce is great if you wanna be like OB and watch it fall apart after 300 miles . LOL

I had purchased one Early August, installed it mid August.
Did the horribly annoying 500 mile breakin period of VERY sane driving...
For the first month and a half, Wow this clutch was great!!
The pedal was nice and light(because of the weights on the fingers of the pressure plate)
But, after that I was trying to heat up my slicks(yes I know how to do it properly...) one day at the track.
RPM's just fell... and it like "bogged" and stalled.
Tried once more and thought it was going good, until I smelt what I was doing...
Got backed out and my Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch already went up in smoke only after 1.5 Months...
Biggest waste of cash I will ever spend.
Next clutch will most definatly be a Spec clutch.
I hear nothing but good things about them, cept for the fact they are purdy heavy
