RE: WHEN IS IT TO MUCH AIR........
Blackbetty,
I have already replaced the TPS sensor so i know that wasn't the issue. I did however, cover the wheel well area and left the ram air which was the easiest task i can try at the moment. The result........was no joy, just like a couple of youhave already determined.[&o]
By the way would you know the spark plug gap for a 99GT mustang, manual? The sticker on the under hood of my car that has that info, has corrioded off long ago.

It is possible to have too much air.Ram air setups have been know to cause idle problems when the car is coasting to a stop with the clutch depressed and also at steady state operation. If the MAF is getting excess air volume it will result installingwhen coasting to a stop and also surging when cruising down the hwy.
