Default H-pipe question

I have some weld-in flowmaster super 40's and love em but would like to do some more......What H-pipe should I get if I were to keep my stock headers....also if I got an O/R mid pipe, how much power can I gain. And how do you instal midpipes.....are they welded in...is this something I can do myself? thanks

I'd suggest a mac or bbk o/r H. I'm not positive how much hp you will pick up,maybe 5-10 but it will sound awesome. The mid pipes are just bolted in,but make sure you use alot off pb blaster and let it soke in for awhile before trying to remove the old h-pipe.

listen to sound clips. you might wanna consider an x also. as for gaining power with an O/R, its nothing you will notice, though going with an O/R pipe, itll be a hell of a lot louder than a catted midpipe. As for installing a midpipe yourself, its a bolt on part. its a pain in the **** to do because of where the manifold to midpipe bolts are, but it is doable. i did my midpipe myself. youll need some PB blaster to soak the bolts in, a 15mm deep socket, a bunch of extensions, a swivel joint to get to the passenger side manifold bolts, and all the cuss words known to man.

Do you have to have different header when getting a new midpipe........also do you think i would gain as much power from the new midpipe VS a $400 throttlebody/plenum the midpipe is cheaper.....I also have a CAI to help the flow if that helps

i forgot one thing, also get a pair of MIL eliminators or a tuner to shut off the check engine light. or you could be like me and just leave it on since im to cheap to go buy the MILs or a tuner. Theyre not needed, but strongly recommended. and dont listen to people who say with out em your car will run like poop. i ran against my friends GT (CAI, tuner and catback for mods)the other night and we were even the whole time, he only got me between shifts since he has an auto and i have a 5 speed, but i pulled on him slightly when i wasnt shifting.
