Default Buying Mustang Tips

Looking to get my first Stang really soon. I pretty much narrowed my search down to 01-04 Mustang Gt's. Do you guys think I could find one with 40k miles for 12k. I'm gonna be contacting some dealers tommorow. Is there any major things I should look at when buying this year of Mustang besides taking it to a machanic? Also how do the manual transmissions hold up in these cars? I want to get at least 100k miles out of it.
Thanks for your help!

Default RE: Buying Mustang Tips

try to find one that wasn't beat up on too much, check the rear pads to see how much material is left on them. when i noticed my e-brake wasn't grabbing too well, i checked the pads and they were worn until there was just about no material left [:@]
