X Pipe Robbed me of Power
I hadn't posted this here yet and thought I should let you guys know. I had my Pypes o/r X put on a few weeks ago and the car doesn't pull as hard as it did before. I've never had the car to a track or a dyno, so I don't have any #'s, but I'm confident there is a difference.
Guys I have talked to said it is not uncommon for an o/r Pype to rob a little bit of torque, which definitely feels like the case.
I now love the way the car sounds, but the loss in power is pretty disappointing. Hell, I'm a nearly stock 2V, I can't afford to lose any power....[&o]

My friend has the same x pipe and claims he lost power also. We took it for a ride and he actually ended up loosing it in the low end but he says it pulls harder in higher Rpm's. Maybe the same goes for you..... Test drive it a little tomorrow and see if it pulls any harder in the high end.

i literally just put a Pypes o/r x on today, and theres not a difference in power.
the car is louder, so it sounds like its not going as fast as it should, which feels like its not as torqy.
believe me, its all in your head. i felt the same thing, then when i raced this G35 that pulled up next to me, i wasted him.

you lose some backpressure when you take the cats out so it gives the impression that you lose power but its actually almost the same for power...its very deceiving* and you think its faster because its louder sometimes lol

I never considered the X pipe or H pipe in terms of power but in terms of sound..... I mean unless your talking about catted, uncatted..... the power difference is literrally..... like 3 to 8 horses at MOST! And if you are hurting over something that small..... you need some juice or boost lol.
