I'm mainly asking because I'm finally going to be getting a novi in about 5 weeks (this time for real). When you compare the two, the novi flows 1700cfm opposed to the vortech's 1200cfm. It's also capable of more boost and ultimately more power. It's only a few hundred more than the vortech (mongoose kit) so I'm just wondering why the vortech is so popular. Not trying to crap on anyone, it's just an honest question in case I'm missing something. Thanks for the replies.

Price, its a well known and very well proven product, good technical support, and they have a great name as a company.. lots of people reccomend them, and you can make more power with one using the smaller pulley's than the internals of the 4.6 can handle... which is the same for most centri's.. so for anyone not going with a forged setup/block, why spend the money when you can max out your current setup for less?

you can also "upgrade" your S-trim internals to a T-trim for another $900 if you send the head unit back to them. then you'll really be rockin.
