Default Front Brake Help

over the past few weeks my front brakes have been acting up more and more. I now have to put a lot more effort into getting stopped. I looked at the pads and they are fine. The brake pedal even feels looser, but when I depress the brake pedal hard it makes a sort of clunk sound and I start to hear a slight grinding/ vibrating. Also, my power steering went out a few months ago, could this have anything to do with it? I am planning on jacking it up and taking a look at it today and hoping to figure out whats going on. Any help would be extremely appreciated, thank you.

Default RE: Front Brake Help

When i first bought my car my front passenger side calliper was siezed on the rotor, all needed new break pads and 3 or the 4 callipers had to be replaced. I found a lot of the clips on the callipe werent there.. I wuld put it on a lift and look at the calliper for, missing clips, erosion from the salt. and the rotors for smoothness. Wut i found the hard way was rotors will warp easily. I was plannign on having mine cut down n smooth again but they were already cut once so i hada get all 4 new rotors. After that i havnt a the slitest pull when i aply my brakes or any noise or looseness of the pedal. It gets pricey btu if i were you ide get new rotors and brake pads all around... if that doesnt fix it go to the calipers.

hope this helped, good luck
