Default 4.6 GT exhaust system help

so whats the difference between an X and an H pipe???

just playing.....my question.....I bought a Stainless Steel Mac O/R Prochamber and S.S. mac catback. I figure I want to complete the full exhuast and put on shorty headers. Blah blah blah...I dont care that you dont gain that much HP from shorties...."longtubes FTW!!!" etc etc i know.....but if I get headers at all, they will be shorties as I'll be switching the prochamber off for inspection time and will need my stock exhaust to fit.

I was looking at Ford Racing Performance Parts ceramic coated shorties....are there any other superior brands out there I should know about? Would I be better off going with Mac shorties?

and with a full system from headers to midpipe to catback, do you guys think I'd pick up at least 15 rwhp?.....regardless, i'm still doing it...just wondering if the shorties make any difference at all

i got the ford racing shorties, they bolt right in..its a bit of a job without a lift, lucky i had one to do it on, only thing is i had to flare the pipe so it would close around the colector, by the way i have the full mac prochamber exaust, from headers to tail pipes

I got the BBK stainless steel shorty's and yea it's quite a bit of a job, but once you figure out the madness and get them in, I noticed a difference. I'm not saying the difference was like NOS or anything, but it did add a little pep to it. These headers will fit the stock midpipe, the shorty's stop right where the stock manifolds stop.
