80 bucks vs. free- I would at least try to drill it. If it doesn't work, order a new one. At least you tried to save your money.

did you order just the lense or the entire assembly? I went with the entire assembly so i just swapped out the old light/bracket for the new...that was easy. I didn't feel like dealing with getting the old lense off and sealing up the new one so the extra $$$$ was worth it to me.

I guess your warranty is up? You got to replace it. Don't drill nothing.
Nah, I'm still under warranty, only 12k miles. I just had a VERY bad experience with the two ford dealers in my area with my drivers side window.

if you are still under warranty then take it in and make them replace the entire assembly...
