Went to the track tonight (finnally)
Long and short of it... 12.409 @ 113.45 was my best time. The track was pretty sticky right off the line (at least at that point) but I was getting massive tirespin/wheelhop when shifting into 2nd. All in all though, I was pretty happy with my times.
Here are the slips:
Very first run at a dragstrip (for me and the car) :

2nd run at the strip today:

I never got another good run in. The clouds came out, the track got close, and that was the end of the story... nothing but 2.05 and 2.1+ 60's.
I also managed to miss 4th (going into 2nd... 7500 RPM, yikes!) twice. I think I am gonna have to change how I grab the shifter, for some reason I am always pulling it down and toward myself instead of just straight down. It happened right at the end of the night (with ****ty 60's) so I just said screw it and put the car up.
Edit: Fixed the MPH

Only like 2000-2200 RPM. By the time I was ready to really heat the **** out of the tires and go for a 1.8~ 60' time the track cooled down and that was that.
It was kinda dumb really. I thought it was supposed to be generally a street car only event... but a ton of pro tree racers showed up and they were running really fast cars. The problem was they would run the street cars, running them very fast (3+ runs a minute) and then the pro guys would come up, screw around for 5 minutes getting set up, then break something and it would take the officals 20 minutes just to get the track cleaned up. This happened one time, I **** ya not, 3 times in a row. Nothing like 3 passes in just under an hour.
The moral of that massive paragraph was that the street guys got screwed since it took up like 1.5 hours between my 2nd run and my 3rd. In that time the clouds came out, the track cooled, and it was 2.0+ 60's all night. I would either spin in 1st or bog.
Suspension mods are strange adj shocks/struts, fox 4cyl front springs, and blue oval industries upper/lower control arms.

Nice job your first time out. Here's the trick to getting into 4th cleanly. On the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts, your elbow should be tucked in close to your side. But on the 3-4 you should raise your elbow out from your side and point your thumb down towards the floor. Pull straight back. This give the proper angle to go to 4th[8D]

Pretty good, other than the dammed 2nd gear spin.
When the track was doing its job, I was 60' (as you can see) in the 1.90 range... but I just kept spinning like crazy in 2nd gear.
I was talking to a guy with a saleen vert with a Sq, and he said both he and his buddy (with another SQ powered 2v not at the track today) consitantly ran 2. to .3 seconds faster at gateway instead of KCIR.
What do you think code? Is there something wrong with the suspension settings, or is it just the track? What I was doing was launching around 2200 RPM. I would let the clutch out while giving it throttle. About the time the clutch was all the way out I had the pedal on the floor, and it would stick and not spin, thus the 1.90 60.
The problem was the 2nd gear shift. I would shift hard, the car would get crazy and wheelhop. I was probably spinning for a good half second or more before I finnally caught traction and was able to finish the run. I think this might have been costing me not only ET but MPH?
I really expected to trap better than a 114 MPH. I was thinking more in the 118 range.
