Default Rear differential cover

Well its been like this since i bought it but before i run my car i figure i should make sure its ok. Its covered in what looks like oil.. maybe its leaking or has leaked? What should i do? Is it normal or should i look into it?

Not normal at all. Go buy some B-12 at the auto store and spray it off to clean it up real nice. Take it for a drive and see if leaks again.

Ah thats a good idea.... What exactly is B-12? Is it just like a canned thing you spray on it to clean it? Just spray it on and its clean?

Yeah its a carb cleaner in a spray can. Just spray it on and watch the crap wash away.

Awesome. Thanks alot man. If it doesnt rain hardcore like its supposed to tomarrow i will do it first thing in the morning and hope for the best. After driving it for a year like that though im pretty sure my rear end would have gone by now if there was a real problem with it.
